Journal "Exploration Geophysics, Remote Sensing and Environment" (EGRSE) publishes original contributions dealing with:

• application of geophysical methods in geology, engineering geology, hydrogeology,
• geofactors of environment and geothermal energy,
• remote sensing and its application in geology, geodesy, GIS and ecology,
• tectonophysics, physics of the interior of the Earth, seismology, seismotectonics and seismic hazard

EGRSE magazine has a long and rich history. Publishing of articles in professional geophysical issues dates back to the magazine named Applied Geophysics and came as Proceedings. Published it, now nonexistent, Department of Applied Geophysics in Brno - Řečkovice.

• By the year 1993 as Proceedings of Geological Sciences. Applied Geophysics, ISSN 0036-5319.
• From 1994 to 2004 as a print journal; EGRSE. Exploration Geophysics, Remote Sensing and Environment (Print), ISSN 1211-359X.
• From 2005 to present a magazine that uses an electronic CD-ROM; EGRSE. Exploration Geophysics, Remote Sensing and Environment (CD-ROM), ISSN 1803-1447.

Longtime editor of the leading doc. RNDr. L. Pospisil. At present, it was replaced by RNDr. F. Rysavy.

Current efforts of the editorial board is to issue options to the magazine yet another information medium, the website of the Association of Czech geophysicists. Magazine for further allocation would be based on ISSN numbers simultaneously on two carriers, such as online and on CD-ROM.
